I was a solicitor for ten years and I remain on the Roll of Solicitors as a non-practising solicitor. I therefore have the expertise and experience required to provide a first-class legal proofreading service.

Since training at the Publishing Training Centre, I have worked freelance as both a legal and general proofreader. Among my clients are individuals, small businesses, translation companies, academic proofreading companies and specialist legal publishers.

I have also taught English as a foreign language for two years both abroad and in the UK. As a result, I understand and appreciate the difficulties faced by people for whom English is a second language.

I am available for short-term and long-term projects, as well as urgent work requiring a quick turnaround time. I am happy to work on a per hour basis or per word basis, whichever is preferred. In order to demonstrate the quality of my work, I will gladly proofread a sample free of charge and without obligation.
